Black’n Roll: Special rubber compound for wheelchairs. Leaves no unsightly marks on indoor floors and lasts much longer than a normal gray wheelchair tire compound.

Dual Compound: Two different rubber compounds for optimal performance.

Endurance: The Marathon compound for the highest durability.

Energizer: Extremely grippy compound for E-Bikes.

GRC: Grey compound for wheelchair tire

One Star Triple Compound: Specially developed for the Schwalbe One. A comnpletely new Polymer base makes possible a radical reuction in rolling resistance and cut protectiont

Roller: Specially designed for turbo trainers

SBC: SCHWALBE Basic Compound: Versatile quality compound for all applications.

Silica: Special filler in the rubber mixture that positively influences the rolling resistance.

Speedgrip: Sporty rubber compound with extremely low rolling resistance and exceptional grip.

Triple Star Compound: Our best and most sophisticated compound. Triple compound. Perfectly adapted to the specific purpose. MTB (PaceStar, TrailStar, VertStar), Roadrace (RaceStar, WetStar), Tour (RoadStar, TravelStar).

Winter: Special compound for spike tires.

Our best and most sophisticated compound. Triple compound. Perfectly adapted to the specific purpose.

Extremely fast XC compound

  • Easy rolling base layer (base)
  • Fast center (medium)
  • Grippy shoulders (medium soft)

Enduro & Freeride Compound

  • Easy rolling base layer (base)
  • Grippy center (medium soft)
  • Extra-grippy shoulders (soft)

Downhill Compound

  • Easy rolling base layer (base)
  • Super-soft center (super soft)
  • Extra-soft Shoulders (extremely soft)

Please note: TrailStar and VertStar lose signfiicant performance when ridden in freezing temperatures.

Super Gravity has a new carcass construction at its core. The principle is a familiar one in motorbike tires. We have taken the best features and developed them further for the MTB. For SUPER GRAVITY the sidewalls are made up of four layers of carcass material, but there are only two layers underneath the cap*.

The next trick: The whole tire (not just the sidewalls) is encased in SnakeSkin fabric. Weight is negligible – and it helps a lot. In fact, it stabilizes and protects while remaining extremely flexible. At the same time it is ideal for Tubeless Ready application.

So Super Gravity means: The tire walls are more robust. The cap is more flexible. The tire is lighter. Or in a single sentence: Downhill ruggedness at Enduro weight.

Super Gravity weighed up: When combined with Tubeless Ready riders save an impressive 700 grams in weight in comparison with a conventional downhill tire. Not just somewhere on the frame, but on the rotating mass!

*The classic downhill tire construction has six layers under the cap. This adds unnecessary weight and unfortunately also makes the cap rigid and hard.

What is the best tyre to use?

One of our most effective inventions for  Mountainbikes. SnakeSkin fabric adds only ca. 40-50 g per tire. This makes it the most practical protection against sharp rocks that can easily cut the side wall of light racing tires. SnakeSkin – in rocky terrain it is a great call!

What are the advantages of Tubeless Ready tires?

They offer better rolling resistance, puncture protection and are lighter. In comparison with both „real“ Tubeless tires and regular fitting with a tube, there are weight savings, as well as a distinct reduction in rolling resistance. Besides which, the sealing fluid provides excellent puncture protection.

What does Tubeless Ready mean?

Tubeless Ready tires are not Tubeless tires. However, they can be converted to a Tubeless tire by adding a sealing fluid. Schwalbe Tubeless Ready tires have a specially formed and coated tire bead. This seals the rim very efficiently and provides safe seating.
